Stretch Velvet is a luxurious, eye catching knit fabric. It has an ultra soft nap on the right side a cool smooth back. This is perfect for creating something a little extra special for the holidays or simply for everyday wear! This weight is very versatile and would create lovely pants, skirts, blazers, cardigans and dresses!

Fabric Content: 92% poly/8% spandex
Fabric Width: ~58/60"
Fabric Weight: 240gsm
Stretch Percentages: 50% horizontal/25% vertical

When sewing with stretch velvet, you will notice the nap runs smoothly one direction and not so much the other. When cutting out your pattern, take note of this and place your pattern pieces so that the nap will run smoothly as you run your hand down the garment (ie from the waist to hip). Depending on your pattern, you may need additional yardage.
